Glass specimens of biosphere
Glass is an excellent material that is suitable for fine artistic expression and has a long-term stability. Actually, the artistic old glass beads of a very robust form still remains even after thousands of years since ancient times. Thus, I thought it tries to add a role as a “specimen” to my glass bead. In order to convey to posterity the current natural scenes where various creatures live, I have reproduced the figure of real creatures and environments (= their micro-habitats) in a small glass beads. All creatures and environments within these beads are also made of glass by my peculiar lampwork techniques.
